Webinar and Event Terms

These Event Terms apply to webinars, workshops, conferences, summits, awards events, professional development sessions and online or face-to-face events delivered by CAQA Skills. They cover registration, payment, attendance, substitutions, cancellations, rescheduling, recordings, event materials, speaker or program changes, attendee conduct and accessibility support.

1. About CAQA Skills events

CAQA Skills is the professional development brand of CAQA Groups and a Career Calling International Pty Ltd (ABN 53 162 651 238) initiative. Through this website we deliver live webinars, PD on demand, mentoring, customised training and membership programs for trainers, assessors, compliance officers, RTO and CRICOS managers, ELICOS and higher education staff, and other industry professionals. By registering for any CAQA Skills webinar or event, whether free or paid, you agree to these terms together with our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Cancellation and Refund Policy.

2. Bookings and registration

Bookings are made through the Webinars page, through a membership entitlement or by arrangement with our team. You must provide accurate registration details, including your name, email address and organisation, so that we can confirm your place, send joining instructions and issue any certificate of participation. Registration information is collected and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Places at live sessions may be limited and are confirmed in order of completed registration.

3. Payment

Some CAQA Skills sessions are free; others are paid. Fees for paid webinars, events and PD on demand are shown at the time of booking in Australian dollars and are processed through secure third-party payment providers, or by invoice for approved group and organisational bookings. Your place is not confirmed until payment, or an approved purchase order, has been received. Member pricing and inclusions apply only where stated and are subject to the Membership Terms.

4. Time zones

Unless otherwise stated, all published session times are Melbourne, Australia time (AEST or AEDT as applicable). If you are joining from another state or country, you are responsible for converting the published time to your local time zone. We recommend joining online sessions at least ten minutes early to test your audio, video and connection.

5. Recordings and access to materials

Live webinars are usually recorded. Where a recording or supporting materials (such as slides, handouts, checklists or templates) are offered, registered participants receive access for the stated access period. Recordings and materials are provided for your own professional use and for internal use within your organisation. You must not copy, resell, redistribute, publicly post or upload them to third-party libraries, or remove copyright notices, without our written permission. Attendees must not make their own recordings of any session.

6. Substitutions

If you can no longer attend a live session, you may nominate a colleague to attend in your place at no extra charge, provided you tell us in writing before the session begins. Member-only pricing and entitlements are not transferable to non-members unless the Membership Terms state otherwise.

7. Non-attendance

If you do not attend a session and have not cancelled or substituted in accordance with these terms and our Cancellation and Refund Policy, the registration fee is not automatically refundable. Where the session was recorded, we will normally provide you with access to the recording. If you were unable to attend or access a session because of a fault on our side, contact us and we will offer an appropriate remedy such as recording access, a transfer, a credit or a refund.

8. Rescheduling and program changes

We may occasionally need to reschedule a session, change a presenter, adjust the advertised program or move a face-to-face event online, for example where a presenter is unavailable or minimum numbers are not reached. If we reschedule or materially change a paid event, you may attend the new session, transfer to another session, take a credit or request a refund. If we cancel a paid event, you will receive a full refund or, at your choice, a credit or transfer.

9. Cancellation by you

Cancellations, refunds and credits are handled under our Cancellation and Refund Policy, which also explains your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

10. Attendee conduct

We want every session to be professional and safe. Attendees must behave respectfully towards presenters, staff and other participants. We may mute, remove or refuse entry to any attendee whose conduct is offensive, disruptive or unlawful, without refund. Questions and chat contributions may be moderated.

11. Professional development, not regulatory advice

CAQA Skills sessions provide general professional development and sector information. They are not legal, financial or regulatory advice, and they do not take account of your organisation's individual circumstances. Registration, audit, accreditation and funding decisions remain with ASQA, TEQSA, state regulators, funding bodies and other relevant authorities. Certificates issued for our sessions confirm participation only; see our CPD Certificate Disclaimer.

12. Accessibility

Tell us about any access requirements when you book, such as captions or materials in an alternative format, and we will do what we reasonably can to support your participation. See our Accessibility Statement for more detail.

13. Contact

Questions about a booking or these terms can be sent to info@caqa.com.au, made by phone on 1800 266 160, or lodged through our contact page. You can also write to us at 2/10 Lawn Court, Craigieburn, Victoria 3064.
